A Delicious Splash in the Mud!
Who says playing in the mud isn't a good idea? With these Teddy Bear Chocolate Mud Puddles, it's the tastiest game around! Layers of rich chocolate pudding and crushed cookie 'dirt' create the perfect playground for some happy little teddy graham bears. This no-bake treat is a fantastic way to get even the youngest chefs involved in the kitchen.
Materials
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies
- Gummy worms
- Teddy Grahams
Preparation
- First, let's make some dirt! Place the Oreo cookies in a zip-top bag. Seal it, and let the kids have fun crushing them with a rolling pin or their hands until they look like fine soil. Set aside about half a cup for later.
- Now, for the mud! In a medium bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix and the cold milk together for about two minutes. The mixture will magically start to thicken into a wonderful, gloppy mud.
- Let the kids get their hands 'dirty' by stirring the larger portion of the crushed Oreos into the chocolate pudding. This will create a thick, textured mud puddle base.
Cooking
- This is a no-cook recipe, but we do need some patience! The only 'cooking' involved is letting our creation chill. Spoon the pudding mixture evenly into 6 clear cups or jars. This lets you see the cool layers you've created.
- Now, sprinkle the remaining Oreo 'dirt' on top of each pudding cup to create a dry layer of soil.
- Place the cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the mud to set properly, so our teddy bears don't sink!
