Remember those classic chow mein noodle haystacks? We've given them a modern upgrade. The irresistible combination of sweet butterscotch, rich milk chocolate, and creamy peanut butter creates a flavor explosion, while a final sprinkle of sea salt elevates this simple snack into a truly gourmet experience. It's the perfect easy, no-bake treat for any occasion.
Materials
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 5 oz can of chow mein noodles (about 3 cups)
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt for garnish
Preparation
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Measure out all ingredients and have them ready.
Cooking
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Gently fold the chow mein noodles into the melted chocolate mixture until they are evenly coated.
- Drop tablespoon-sized mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the clusters are firm.
