This category features projects, insights, and stories from our pilot projects supported in 2023-2024 by the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) — a $3.5 billion, 5-year agreement between federal, provincial, and territorial governments (2023–2028). Our food security, food product development and sustainable agriculture pilot projects, were funded in part by Sustainable CAP, with a focus on strengthening innovation, resiliency, and competitiveness in Canada’s agri-food systems.
Through this support, we’ve advanced sustainable food production, fostered relationship development across Indigenous and rural communities, and led engagement efforts nationally and internationally. Topics in this category include climate-resilient agriculture, agri-tech innovation, soil health, regenerative farming, and community-based food systems.
