Each week, we dive into AI food art as part of our AI Food Art Friday series, where we experiment with artificial intelligence, food styling, and digital photography to create stunning food imagery. This week’s challenge features a vibrant, creamy blueberry and roasted carrot soup with a touch of elegance. The goal is to create an AI-generated image inspired by the following prompt.

This week’s prompt:

“A smooth, creamy roasted carrot and blueberry soup, elegantly swirled with coconut cream and garnished with toasted pumpkin seeds and edible flowers. Served in a ceramic bowl with a rustic linen napkin and wooden spoon on a marble countertop. Shot at f/2.8 for a slight depth blur, keeping the texture of the soup velvety and the toppings sharp. Warm, golden hour side lighting from a 45-degree angle creates delicate highlights on the glossy surface, mimicking a professional fine dining presentation.”

A stunning fusion of flavors and art: this roasted carrot and blueberry soup, with a swirl of creamy coconut, is a masterpiece of culinary design. Topped with toasted pumpkin seeds and vibrant edible flowers, it’s served in a handcrafted ceramic bowl with precision, evoking the art of fine dining. Captured in soft, dynamic lighting that plays with texture and contrast, this dish feels like a visual algorithm of flavor, where every detail is optimized for both taste and beauty.

About our Winter 2025 Arts program

As part of our Food Art Fridays series, this challenge is not just about creating stunning food imagery—it’s about exploring the broader landscape of digital literacy, media arts and how generative AI tools are shaping the future of creativity. Engaging with AI to craft these images, artists develop a deeper understanding of AI-assisted design, digital media, and visual storytelling. This exploration fosters critical skills in creative problem-solving, prompt crafting, and mastering new technology, empowering artists to push the boundaries of their craft while enhancing their digital fluency. Through this process, we’re not only creating art but also learning to navigate the evolving intersection of technology and creativity. Our 2025 Winter and Fall program activities are supported by the OpenAI Researcher Access Program and the Manitoba Arts Council.
