Adaptive Phased Management

This photo is a rendering of the proposed Deep Geological Repository (DGR) at the Revell Site, designed to safely store nuclear waste deep underground for long-term environmental protection.

Closest Communities to the NWMO Revell Site

The communities of Dyment and Borups Corners, located in Melgund Township, Northwestern Ontario are the two closest population centres to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization Revell site, a location chosen for Canada’s Deep Geological Repository (DGR) for used nuclear fuel. As the closest neighbouring communities to the Revell site, local residents and organizations continue to engage in meaningful conversations about safety, environmental protection, and the future of the area for generations to come.
