Second annual Fall Artist Market draws regional crowd to Dyment

More than 80 people came out from across Northwestern Ontario for this year’s second annual Fall Artist Market, Arts Exhibition and Music Jam at the Dyment Recreation Hall in Melgund Township.

The event brought together artists, crafters, musicians and community members for an afternoon centred on regional creativity. Visitors had an opportunity to see artwork and handmade pieces from local makers, including beautiful Christmas ornaments by Dryden artist Fran Higgins.

The market and exhibition also provided a chance for artists from different communities to meet one another, share their work and connect with people from across the region. The music jam added another part of the gathering, with musicians coming together alongside the artists and vendors.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the event, and to Art Borups Corners, the Arts Incubator Winnipeg, We The Nuclear Free North, Melgund Recreation Arts and Culture, the Local Services Board of Melgund and the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) and the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) for supporting this year’s Fall Artist Market, Arts Exhibition and Music Jam.
