Bid, Browse and Celebrate at One of Northwestern Ontario’s Largest Canada Day Silent Auctions on July 1st

A highlight of the annual Canada Day Festival in Melgund Township is returning once again. The Canada Day Festival Silent Auction will take place on Wednesday, July 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Park, bringing together community members and visitors for an afternoon of bidding, entertainment and celebration. Recognized as one of the largest community silent auctions in Northwestern Ontario, the event has become a tradition that many people look forward to each summer.

Visitors are encouraged to spend the afternoon exploring the silent auction while enjoying live performances by Gerry and Tanya McArthur and Walter and Friends. The Cookshack will be serving burgers, hot dogs, smokies and refreshments throughout the day, while the kids’ lemonade stand, door prizes and friendly festival atmosphere make it an enjoyable outing for the whole family.

There will also be vendors and artist booths set up to support local and regional Northwestern Ontario artists!

Whether you’re hoping to discover something unique at the auction, reconnect with friends, or simply celebrate Canada Day in a welcoming rural community, there’s plenty to enjoy. Bring the family, support a local tradition, and join us at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Park for another memorable Canada Day Festival in Melgund Township.
