Arts Incubator Winnipeg

This section highlights our relationship development and engagement activities made possible through the generous support of the Manitoba Agriculture Indigenous Food Systems and Agriculture Relationship Development and Engagement Program. The project, titled Relationship Development and Engagement with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and University of Minnesota Duluth, focused on strengthening cross-border collaboration in food systems innovation, sustainable agriculture, and Indigenous food sovereignty.

In 2023 and 2024, our pilot initiatives were supported by Manitoba Agriculture, the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), and MCAD’s Creative Entrepreneurship and Master of Arts in Creative Leadership programs. These partnerships allowed us to co-create community-driven models that blend youth leadership, arts-based research, and climate resilience strategies across Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut, Norway and the U.S. Midwest.
