Tracking the Progress of Our Young Apple Seedlings
Growing apple trees from seed takes quite a bit of patience, but watching these young seedlings progress makes the daily wait completely worth it. There is a genuine excitement in checking on them each morning and finding fresh, bright green growth pushing through. Seeing them leaf out so well in the garden beds is a huge milestone, and it’s just plain fun to watch them take off.
Every new leaf is a great sign that the roots are settling in and the plants are healthy. They are still small, but they already show a lot of grit and strength as they establish themselves. Following their development day by day connects you to the garden in a completely different way than buying a mature tree from a nursery ever could.
While growing apples from scratch is a long-term commitment, the early stages are easily some of the most rewarding. It is amazing to look at these small, thriving plants right now and imagine the actual trees they will eventually become. For now, we are just enjoying the quiet satisfaction of watching them grow a little taller each week.
