Eddie’s Secret Box

Fire shatters Eddie's world. His friends hold the key: a mysterious secret box. Can its power reignite his pride and strength? A heartwarming tale of unbreakable friendship.
The Arts Incubator - Winnipeg September 28, 2025

What happens when your whole world disappears in a puff of smoke? For Eddie, a devastating house fire means losing more than just his home; it means losing everything that made him him. His beloved comic books, his favorite soccer cleats, even the soft teddy bear hidden under his pillow—all gone. Now, wearing borrowed clothes and carrying an empty backpack, Eddie feels like a stranger, desperate to hide the gaping hole in his heart from his friends.

As the echoes of loss follow him to school, Eddie faces the ultimate challenge: how do you find strength and pride when everything that defined you is gone? He longs to be normal, but his empty locker feels like a stark symbol of all he’s lost, making him shrink from the world.

But his friends, Leo and Sam, notice. They see past the strange shirt and the quiet demeanor, determined to help Eddie rediscover his worth. Can they find a secret way to remind him that true dignity comes from within, and that some things—like friendship and resilience—can never be taken away? Join Eddie on a powerful, moving journey of healing, connection, and reclaiming his sense of self.

Administrator

The Arts Incubator - Winnipeg is a participatory arts collective and living lab, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. It's a space where innovation and creativity thrive. It's latest iteration was launched in 2021 with funding and support from the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Greenhouse. Today, working with students and faculty from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, we fuse traditional and participatory media arts with artificial intelligence, music, storytelling and community-driven, land-based artist residencies to cultivate new voices and bold ideas. Whether through collaborative projects or immersive experiences, our small but vibrant community supports creators to explore, experiment, and connect. Join us at the intersection of artistry, technology, culture and community—where every moment is a new opportunity to create.

Art Borups Corners October 22, 2025
The program is dedicated to fostering arts-focused skill development and digital literacy among participants. By supporting the creation and distribution of stories, it equips individuals with the tools needed to articulate their experiences and contribute to the cultural landscape. "The Jackfish Trail Challenge" stands as a prime example of how these skills translate into meaningful narratives that resonate with readers.
