Manitoba Arts Council

The Arts Incubator, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a dynamic hub for Manitoba arts, providing mentorship, internships, and professional development opportunities for emerging and established artists. Seeded with support and funding from the Manitoba Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts, the Incubator focuses on nurturing Indigenous youth artists, rural creators, and community-driven projects across the province.

Through workshops, digital arts training, land-based initiatives, and collaborative programming with the Art Borups Corners Collective, the Incubator strengthens Manitoba’s cultural landscape, amplifying Indigenous voices, supporting Northern and rural perspectives, and building sustainable creative practices. Its Winnipeg hub serves as a central gathering space, connecting local artists to networks, resources, and opportunities that ensure their work reaches regional and national audiences.

By fostering mentorship, hands-on experience, and skill-building, the Arts Incubator ensures that Manitoba artists, especially youth and Indigenous creators, have the tools to thrive while contributing to a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive arts ecosystem.
