Melgund Township’s Hub for Recreation, Arts, Music, and Community Life

The Dyment Recreation Hall is a vital community gathering space serving the residents of DymentBorups Corners, and the broader Melgund Township area. As the primary community centre for this part of Northwestern Ontario, the hall plays a central role in supporting year-round recreation programsarts and culture eventsmusic performances, and public gatherings.

Built and maintained through the efforts of local volunteers and partners, the Dyment Rec Hall is more than just a building—it’s where generations come together to celebrate, learn, play, and support one another. From youth programsand fitness activities to holiday eventscraft fairsmusic nights, and family reunions, the hall serves as a flexible, welcoming venue for all ages.

The Dyment Recreation Hall has a new addition, following extensive repairs after a flood in 2022. The new addition and repairs were funded by the community and with support from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.
