The Dyment Museum is a one-of-a-kind local treasure, built lovingly in 1997 by Jack and Elaine Robinson in their own backyard. What began as a single building soon expanded into a full-fledged heritage site—now featuring two buildings and a vintage train caboose, filled with artifacts and stories from Borups Corners, Dyment, Dinorwic, Wabigoon, and even Dryden.

Today, the museum is cared for by their daughter Karen and her husband Pat, who carry on the Robinson family’s legacy of preserving and sharing the unique history of the Melgund area.

What You’ll Find:

  • Displays of rural life and local industry
  • Artifacts from early rail and trapping history
  • Personal stories and archival items from community families
  • A train caboose restored as part of the exhibit

The museum is privately owned and operates entirely on donations. Every visit helps preserve this remarkable collection for future generations.
