Sewing and painting workshops are among this week’s activities as the summer arts incubator continues its hands-on programming in Dyment.

The summer arts incubator program is in full swing at Dyment Recreation Hall, with the hall and its lower-level arts space busy with creative activity throughout the summer.

The program brings together a range of hands-on activities, from arts and crafts to community gardening and food production. This week, participants can take part in sewing and painting workshops, with opportunities for people of all experience levels to work alongside one another and try something new.

The summer program is also building toward its annual fall arts exhibition, which opens September 12 and runs through October 21, 2026. The exhibition will showcase work created through the program and provide an opportunity for the wider community to see what participants have been making.

Activities take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. at Dyment Recreation Hall. Everyone is welcome to drop in, participate and spend some time creating with the community.
