The future thrives at the crossroads, and ECO-STAR North brings together creative entrepreneurship and applied AI research to open new possibilities for a sustainable and sovereign Northern economy.
Understanding the ECO-STAR North Methodology for Innovation
Alright, this is it—the big idea! The ‘Solution’ is the tangible ‘what’ of any project. It’s your well-crafted response to the unmet need you identified. This is where you move from abstract thinking to concrete action. What exactly are you creating? How will it function? Who will benefit, and how will it be developed and delivered to them?
But a solution is more than just a clever idea; it’s a thoughtfully designed one. This is where you define your model, estimate resources, and, most importantly, start building something real.
The guiding principle is “show, don’t just tell.” Create a prototype—even if it’s a simple sketch, a mock-up, or a small-scale experiment. There is no faster way to test your idea’s potential than by putting a tangible version in front of real people.
This is also where you confront risks head-on. What could go wrong? What obstacles might arise? Acknowledging challenges doesn’t weaken your solution; it strengthens it, showing that you’re thinking strategically and prepared to navigate the bumps along the way.
What We’re Learning:
We are expanding the concept of ‘Solution’ beyond a product toward an ‘intervention’ or ‘process.’ A solution doesn’t have to be a tangible item to sell; it can be a conversation, a workshop, a new ritual, or a piece of art that transforms perspectives. For interdisciplinary artists, this is essential. The “solution” isn’t just the final artwork—it’s the entire journey of collaborative discovery, the relationships formed, and the knowledge generated along the way. The artwork acts as a catalyst, but the real impact lies in the change it inspires in the community.
