Celebrating Northern Arts and Multi-Disciplinary Creativity

The Spring Arts Exhibition 2026 in Melgund Township, Northwestern Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba features Northern Artists, Indigenous arts practitioners, and multi-disciplinary creators. Presented through our Northern Arts Program and led by Arts Incubator Winnipeg, Art Borups Corners, and Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture, the exhibition highlights visual art, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media, and participatory projects.

Our seasonal spring, summer, and fall art exhibitions rotate between Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, showcasing the region’s rich creative community. The Spring Arts Exhibition 2026 will take place in Dyment, Northwestern Ontario, featuring an immersive collection of visual and multi-disciplinary arts from local and regional Northern Artists.

This year, Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture proudly presents the Spring Arts Exhibition 2026, a month-long celebration of Northern Arts, Multi and Inter-Arts, and community creativity. Hosted in the Dyment Recreation Hall gallery, the exhibition features painters, sculptors, photographers, digital artists, mixed-media creators, and Indigenous arts practitioners. Visitors can explore innovative work, engage directly with artists, and experience the diversity of northern cultural expression.

The Spring Arts Exhibition 2026 offers Northern Artists a platform to share their vision, explore multi and inter-arts practices, and connect with audiences across Melgund Township, Northwestern Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Visitors can enjoy a variety of artwork, meet the artists, and participate in live creative sessions, workshops, and gallery events that celebrate Indigenous arts, land-based knowledge, and northern cultural storytelling. This exhibition demonstrates Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture’s commitment to supporting local and regional talent and advancing our Northern Arts Program.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are essential to the success of the exhibition. Opportunities include assisting with installation, monitoring the gallery, supporting events, and engaging with visitors. Volunteers gain hands-on experience, meet Northern Artists, and contribute to a thriving arts environment that celebrates Multi and Inter-Arts, Indigenous arts, and northern creative talent.
