We're growing. And we're grateful.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Global Community
If you’ve been following The Arts Incubator for a while, you know that our mission has always been about more than just “publishing.” It’s about creating a home for stories that otherwise might never be told—stories from Winnipeg, Nunavut, Northwestern Ontario and beyond: Thank you.
When we first started this journey with authors like Eva Suluk, Jamie Bell, Kendall Suluk and Tony Eetak, we knew their voices were powerful. But we didn’t know how quickly the rest of the world would agree. Because you stuck with us, shared our links, and advocated for these stories in bookstores and local libraries, something incredible happened in 2025.
A Year of Record-Breaking Growth
We often talk about “impact,” but this year, the data actually shows it. In January 2025, we were thrilled to see around 24,000 visits to our digital home. By December 2025, that number didn’t just grow—it exploded to over 178,000 monthly visits. Those 984,000+ visits downloaded almost 4,500,000 pages of stories and adventures.
That is a 700% increase in people connecting with our arts-based adventures and storytelling in just twelve months.
All told, our platform saw over 9.1 million “hits” this year. In the world of web stats, a “hit” is an interaction—a click, a download, or a page viewed. To us, those 9 million hits represent 9 million moments where someone, somewhere, engaged with the values of dignity, community, and our northern way of life.

From Our Small Program to the World (Literally)
Our commitment to an Open Access model was built on a simple belief: stories shouldn’t always be locked behind a paywall. Because we chose to remove those barriers, our stories, projects and publications aren’t just “available”—they are everywhere. We have successfully moved from a local initiative to a global cultural export, with our titles now sitting on digital shelves in over 426 locations worldwide.
24 of our core titles—including The Quiet Bird on the Sill by Eva Suluk and Eddie’s Secret Box by Tony Eetak—are now permanently preserved thanks to the Library and Archives of Canada. This ensures that these voices are a foundational part of Canada’s collective memory forever.
- A Bilingual Legacy: Our reach is truly inclusive, featuring both English and French editions like La boussole de Sakoose and Le chavirement du canot, allowing these northern stories to resonate with all Canadians.
- European Hubs: We have a massive footprint across Europe, with books featured in major catalogs like Thalia (Germany & Austria), Vivlio and FNAC (France & Spain), La Feltrinelli (Italy), and Standaard Boekhandel (Belgium).
- Global Distribution: In addition to Chapters Indigo here at home, our stories are connecting with readers through Rakuten Books (Japan), PChome 24h (Taiwan), Librerías Gandhi (Mexico), and Booktopia (Australia).
- The Library Gateway: By integrating with OverDrive, Palace Marketplace, and more, we’ve made it possible for public and school librarians from London to New York to add our entire collection—from Mona’s Secret Songs to Where Dignity Grows—to their digital stacks with a single click.
Every time a student in Taipei, a researcher in Berlin, or a family in Vancouver “checks out” one of our publications, it cements the professional legacy of our creators. This global presence is more than just a list of names, it’s proof that there is a universal hunger for stories that prioritize human dignity, from urban living and Arctic resilience, to our shared environmental future.
Why Your Support Matters
Statistics are great for reports, but the real “why” is much simpler. Your support allows authors like Eva Suluk to see their work treated with the same prestige as a global bestseller. When you download a copy of The Frost’s Shadow or share The Quiet Bird on the Sill, you are helping build a permanent digital archive of cultural knowledge that will be there for generations to come.
The Joy of the Process: From Grassroots Fun to Global Innovation
While we are incredibly proud of our reach, there is a simpler truth behind everything we do: we just love to explore the arts. This entire journey began as a grassroots creative lab—a space where we could experiment without the heavy constraints of traditional publishing models. Honestly, we did a lot of this just for the fun of it, driven by a desire to see what was possible when you combine technology with tradition.
However, that “fun” foundation became our greatest strength. It allowed us to move faster, innovate more freely, and build an Open Access system that prioritizes people over paywalls. There is a certain magic in seeing a story travel from a local workshop to the national archives, and that sense of wonder is what keeps us experimenting every single day. Seeing our “just for fun” projects evolve into a professional, globally-indexed resource has been the best surprise of all—proving that when you start with authentic passion, the world listens.
As we move into 2026, we aren’t slowing down. We have more stories in the works and more community voices ready to be heard.
Thank you for being the wind in our sails. We couldn’t have reached these millions of milestones without you.
