Accessible Communication Services for Winnipeg Community Organizations

We help Winnipeg organizations clarify their message so neighbors and partners can support their community work.

Clear messages build stronger neighborhoods. Here is how we help your organization speak with one voice.

Why Clear Communication Services Matter for Our City

Winnipeg is a city of neighborhoods. From the murals in the West End to the historic storefronts in the Exchange District, our community is built on the efforts of people who care about their neighbors. However, caring about the work is only half the battle. If people in Manitoba do not understand what your organization does, they cannot show up to support it. We provide professional Communication Services to help you turn your hard work into a clear message that resonates with the people you serve.

We see it often: a small arts group or a community center is doing incredible things, but their website is confusing or their social media is silent. When your message is unclear, you miss out on potential partners and clients. In a place like Winnipeg, where word-of-mouth is so strong, having a professional and consistent way of talking about your services is a requirement for growth. We are here to ensure that your mission is never a secret.

Using Strategic Planning to Find Your Voice

Our primary method for helping you is through Strategic Planning. We believe that good communication starts from the inside. If your staff at a North End youth center and your board members in South St. Vital are saying different things about your goals, the public will be confused. We facilitate sessions that bring your team together to agree on a single, shared direction. This isn’t about making a document that sits on a shelf; it is about creating a tool that helps you make decisions every day.

During our Strategic Planning sessions, we look at who you are trying to reach. Are you speaking to young creators in the Exchange? Are you looking for donors across Manitoba? Each group needs to hear a different part of your story. We help you define these audiences and create specific language for each of them. This ensures that every flyer you print and every email you send is working toward your long-term goals. By being intentional about your words, you build a foundation of trust with the community.

Strengthening Our Local Connections

Trust is the most valuable asset any organization has in Winnipeg. People here want to support local initiatives, but they need to know that their time and money are going to a professional and reliable group. Specialized Communication Services help you project that reliability. We help you present your facts and your impact without using unnecessary jargon. We want you to be able to explain your value to a person you meet at the Forks just as easily as you would in a formal grant application.

When we work with you, we focus on the real-world results of your programs. If you provide workshops for young artists, we help you communicate the specific skills those artists are gaining. If you run a community garden, we help you share the data on how much food is being grown. This factual, grounded approach makes it easy for partners to see why you are a valuable part of the city. It removes the guesswork and replaces it with clarity.

A Social Enterprise Invested in Winnipeg

We are a social enterprise, which means we are members of the same community we serve. We care about the success of Winnipeg because we live here. We see the challenges our local groups face, from limited budgets to small teams that are stretched thin. Our Communication Services are designed to be practical and efficient. We don’t want to add more to your plate; we want to make your current work more effective.

By reinvesting in our community, we ensure that the local arts and social sectors remain strong. We believe that when one organization communicates better, the whole neighborhood benefits. Better communication leads to more volunteers, more stable funding, and a more connected city. We are proud to offer the professional tools that help our fellow Winnipeggers thrive.

The Arts Incubator - Winnipeg is a participatory arts collective and living lab, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. It's a space where innovation and creativity thrive. It's latest iteration was launched in 2021 with funding and support from the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Greenhouse. Today, working with students and faculty from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, we fuse traditional and participatory media arts with artificial intelligence, music, storytelling and community-driven, land-based artist residencies to cultivate new voices and bold ideas. Whether through collaborative projects or immersive experiences, our small but vibrant community supports creators to explore, experiment, and connect. Join us at the intersection of artistry, technology, culture and community—where every moment is a new opportunity to create.
