Stephinie McGinnis of James' No Frills in Dryden and Terri Bell from the Local Services Board of Melgund Township are among the many supporters making our Canada Day Celebration on July 1st possible! We're so grateful for their incredible support and can't wait to celebrate with everyone.
Our program is designed to build a more vibrant and sustainable arts ecosystem in Northwestern Ontario by empowering artists with both traditional knowledge and modern digital skills.
This summer, we’ve focused on providing hands-on training and professional development to address the unique challenges faced by local artists. The success of this initiative is a direct result of the incredible support we’ve received from our community, including our dedicated team of collaborating artists, educators, and creative entrepreneurs. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to our work, helping us to nurture the next generation of arts leaders and sustain cultural practices in the region.
Today, we extend a sincere thank you to Terri Bell, a long-time crafter and dedicated arts administrator. As the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Services Board of Melgund, one of our key supporting organizations, Terri has been an invaluable asset. Her constant organizational skills and unwavering support have kept our program on track. From coordinating music events to our fall exhibition, craft fair, and music jamboree, she has been a constant presence, helping to set up and manage countless details. We are immensely grateful for her hard work and her commitment to making our community arts events and summer program a resounding success.
This year’s program would not have been possible without the incredible support and funding from the Ontario Arts Council Multi and Inter-Arts Projects program. As well, we would not have been able to accomplish this program without the kind support of organizations like Ottawa-based Global Dignity Canada, the Local Services Board of Melgund, The Arts Incubator and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Creative Entrepreneurship Program.
