Growing with the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Greenhouse
The Digital Greenhouse, a visionary initiative from the Canada Council for the Arts, was the catalyst for launching The Arts Incubator in 2021–2022. Designed to support short-term digital innovation projects, the program enabled us to develop new tools, models, and collaborations that address key challenges in the arts—ranging from digital equity and sustainability to decolonization and climate responsibility. With the support of Digital Greenhouse, we’ve been able to connect, collaborate, and bring the arts to life across diverse regions.
What began as a seed project has now grown to include artists and cultural connectors from Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, Nunavut, and beyond, strengthening community-led digital transformation and creative resilience across the North and throughout Canada. We are proud to be part of a national effort that reimagines the future of the arts through inclusive innovation and cross-sector partnerships.
