Placemaking! Get Ready to Get Your Hands Dirty and Revitalize Our Local Park and Greenspace

Are you ready to channel your inner artist, connect with your neighbours, and spend a beautiful morning out in nature? It is time to bring some serious colour to our recreation complex!

This weekend, we are turning our shared outdoor areas into a collaborative canvas. Everyone is invited to the Community Garden Gathering on Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. We will be meeting up at the Dyment Recreation Hall before heading outside to completely revitalize our local park and greenspace.

Whether you are a master gardener with a thriving green thumb or a local artist who loves creative design, this unique volunteer event is the perfect opportunity to make a massive, visible impact. No previous landscaping experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm, your passion for creativity, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

Planting Colourful Flowers & Trees in Preparation for Canada Day Events

Our mission for the morning is all about team spirit and vibrant transformations. Volunteers will be working side-by-side to plant a beautiful variety of colourful flowers and young trees throughout the grounds.

This massive planting effort is taking place in preparation for Canada Day events, ensuring that our community’s essential park and greenspace look absolutely spectacular, welcoming, and picture-perfect ahead of the big holiday celebrations. Think of it as a living public art installation that the entire town gets to enjoy!
