Meeting Details
The group met on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Dyment Recreation Hall.
Discussion & Activities
The meeting focused on planning activities and events for the coming year. Members discussed priorities for 2026 programming and explored opportunities for community engagement through arts and culture. During the meeting, participants also assisted with decorating the Christmas tree and the recreation hall, contributing to seasonal preparations for the community.
Future Programming & Exhibitions
The Collective discussed upcoming exhibition opportunities for the new year. Plans were introduced to develop an exhibition centered on the history of Dyment, with an intention to collaborate closely with the Dyment Museum and the Local Services Board on related activities and programming.
Planning for Family Day activities will begin in January. The group also noted that National Kindness Week will take place during the third week of February and agreed this would be an important focus for future planning.
As part of ongoing efforts to preserve local history, the Collective will be interviewing and speaking with Jack Robinson, founder of the Dyment Museum, about initiating and expanding the collection of local histories.
Future Meetings
The Art Borups Corners Meetings take place immediately after Local Services Board of Melgund Meetings on the third Monday of each month.
