This week, Jamie Bell and Michelle Chawla, Director and CEO of the Canada Council for the Arts, connected at the Urban Shaman Contemporary Indigenous Art Gallery in Winnipeg during a series of dynamic arts dialogues hosted by the Manitoba Arts Council. The gathering brought together artists, curators, and community leaders to explore the evolving role of Indigenous-led spaces in shaping Canada’s cultural future. Their meeting underscored the importance of centering Indigenous voices and amplifying community-based arts leadership across the country.
Our team was proud to contribute to this important moment through a program supported by the Canada Council for the Arts’ Digital Greenhouse initiative. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to take part in these meaningful conversations and express our ongoing support for community-driven arts and digital innovation. A special thank you to the Manitoba Arts Council for making this opportunity possible.
