New Mural Project Starting This Spring
This summer, we’re finally bringing back outdoor projects in a big way. During our Fall and Winter programs, one idea kept popping up: murals. It’s been a minute since we last did one, and honestly, we miss it. Back in 2024 we had so much fun experimenting with big colour, big ideas, and watching a blank wall turn into something that actually meant something to people. We’ve supported a few murals over the years, but it feels like time to jump back in ourselves.
Lately we’ve been looking for inspiration, and that led us down to Windsor, Ontario. If you haven’t checked out Art Alley downtown — near the Pelissier Street Parking Garage. It’s worth it. The space is packed with massive wall pieces, smaller detailed work, even painted picnic tables. It’s the kind of place where you slow down without realizing it, just taking everything in. You can feel how public art shifts a space. It makes it more alive, more shared.
Seeing that energy reminded us why murals matter. They’re not just “nice to look at.” They tell stories. They mark a moment in time. They give people — especially young artists — a chance to leave something lasting out in the open, not tucked away online. There’s something different about standing back and thinking, yeah, we made that.
Planning kicks off in late March. If you’ve got ideas, sketches, or just want to be part of the process, reach out. We’d genuinely love to hear from you and build something bold together.
