Northwestern Ontario Arts and Recreation

Donate Today and Support Arts and Community Recreation in Borups Corners and Melgund Township

The Arts Incubator is proud to support the Local Services Board of Melgund in designing and delivering arts and recreation programming that strengthens community well-being in northwestern Ontario. Working together, we’re helping create healthier, more connected northern communities through creative expression, outdoor activities, and accessible spaces for people of all ages to gather, grow, and thrive.

Recreation programs like arts, community gardens, and outdoor activities are essential for the well-being and vitality of our small Northwestern Ontario community. Together, we provide opportunities for connection, creativity, and healthy living that enrich the lives of everyone in Borups Corners, Dyment and the surrounding area.

In March 2025, the Local Services Board of Melgund was officially recognized as a registered charitable organization. This means donations made to support our community recreation programs are tax-deductible, and official charitable tax receipts will be provided. The Local Services Board is recognized under Canadian law as a municipal or public body performing a government function, allowing it to operate as a registered charity.

How Donations Make a Difference

Donations make a real difference. They help us maintain and expand our arts projects, community gardens, outdoor activities, and other important programs that bring people together and strengthen our community. Every contribution, no matter the size, supports these vital efforts.

Community members, music lovers and tourists from across the region came out to the Dyment Recreation Hall complex in Melgund Township for this year's Canada Day events.

Ways to Donate

Donations can be made in several ways, including by cheque, e-transfer, or online payment. We welcome all contributions with gratitude and transparency. Every donation will be properly receipted so donors can claim their tax benefits.

Commitment to Transparency and Accountability

The Local Services Board is committed to using donated funds responsibly and ensuring they benefit the community directly. We strive for accountability and openness in all we do, with regular updates on our programs and finances available to the community.

The team learned to assemble the new tents, which will provide for much larger audiences during community events and concerts.
