Join an online information session for Northern Ontario artists about OAC professional development grants

Thunder Bay Art Gallery is hosting a free grant information session with the Ontario Arts Council. Join OAC staff Maura Broadhurst (Arts Sector Development Officer) and Alana Forslund (Northern Arts Representative) to learn about professional development grant programs for artists. They will focus their discussion on the Chalmers Arts Fellowship program (deadline June 5, 2025) and the Chalmers Professional Development program (deadline November 13, 2025). They will share information about:

• eligibility;
• the application process and requirements;
• peer assessment and the decision-making process; and
• examples of funded projects and helpful tips!

Artist Jean Marshall will also share about her experience as an OAC grant applicant and recipient and will offer insights into her Chalmers Arts Fellowships project.
