Learning to use WordPress and Content Management Systems

Following up on last week’s engaging discussions about essential tools and technologies for northern arts projects, we are thrilled to dive deeper into practical applications this week. This session will focus on the role of content management tools in amplifying artistic work, specifically introducing the platforms we are actively using and developing. A significant component of this year’s arts incubator program involves building an upgraded, dynamic platform using WordPress.

This is a great opportunity for Northern and Northwestern Ontario artists, collectives, and groups to take part in a professional development opportunity, gaining valuable insights into digital infrastructure essential for contemporary arts practice.

We’re excited to welcome a distinguished panel of special guests who will share their expertise and experiences:

  • Special guest artists Eva Suluk and Tony Eetak from The Arts Incubator
  • Krish Agrawal and Dr. Olaf Kuhlke from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Creative Entrepreneurship program

All are welcome to join this insightful session.

About the Art Borups Corners Program

This summer, we are excited to announce the third season for our Incubator for Digital Arts and Cultural Entrepreneurship, building on the success of our original pilot program launched in 2022. This season, we are proud to be delivering an intensive internship, mentorship, and collective capacity-building program.

Each week will have a different theme, ranging from digital arts, tools and technologies, to administration skills, like grant writing, proposal writing, budgeting and advertising. It’s open to all, and we meet both in-person and online most weeks. We encourage you to contact us at info@artsincubator.ca for more information!
