Have old barn boards? Donate them to help build our new community gallery space.
Turn Your Old Timber Into Art
Do you have an old shack, an aging barn, or a forgotten pile of weathered boards sitting on your property? Instead of letting that history rot away in the bush, consider giving it a permanent home for a new community gallery we’re supporting with our Northwestern Ontario hub. They’re on the hunt for donated barn boards and weathered wood to serve as the literal foundation for upcoming exhibitions. Those silver-grey planks that have survived decades of Northwestern Ontario winters have a character that simply can’t be bought in a store, and we want to help them feature that local soul in their new space.
We are committed to building, recycling, and upcycling as much as possible to keep our gallery eco-friendly and budget-conscious. Your donated materials will be transformed by volunteers into custom display stands, pedestals, and gallery partitions. By contributing your old timber, you’re helping create a professional-grade art environment that feels deeply connected to land and history. Every knot, nail hole, and grain pattern in your old wood can help tell the story of the art it supports.
If you have boards, beams, or even old siding that you’re willing to part with, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for wood that is weathered but still structurally sound enough to be repurposed. Your donation won’t just clear up space in your yard—it will become a lasting part of a community new heritage and arts hub.
