As we melt into February, the momentum behind the "Establishing Niriqatiginnga: Towards a Framework for Northern Food Systems Innovation" project continues to grow
Starting this summer, we're going to be using the arts to explore food security, creative entrepreneurship and implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
Titled "From Principles to Practice: UNDA in Northern Realities," this next proposed project will explore the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) through the lens of arts and storytelling.
Welcome back to an exciting new year. We hope everyone had a terrific holiday break and are looking forward to the year ahead.
When we found out we are going to be session convenors this summer, the first thing we thought was "We have no idea what a session convenor actually does!"
This week’s University of Victoria Community Based Research Lab Community Conversations meeting is with Dr. Olaf Kuhlke. He is Professor and Chair of Creative Entrepreneurship at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
@1860 Winnipeg Arts founding member Tony Eetak was named a National Role Model by Global Dignity Canada on October 18, 2023. The 17-year-old Winnipeg-based artist has been volunteering with the national non-profit organization for almost a decade.

We will meet a class of graduate student studying decision making in supply chain operations from the Labovitz School of Business and Economics, University of Minnesota Duluth.
This week, we've been going through some terminology that is new to many of our emerging artists. So we thought we would take a few days and explain some of these terms. We work a lot with community-based research and community engaged arts projects, and the terms "co-learning" and "co-creation" are mentioned frequently. Let's take a look at what those terms actually mean.
