Expression of Interest for Artists: Northern Perspectives Conference 2024

This year's event combines the Northern Perspectives and Kivalliq Energy Forums, and is hosted by the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce and the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce.

We’re so excited to hear that the Northern Perspectives 2024 Conference is returning to Winnipeg two years after being cancelled. There is currently a call for Expressions of Interest from artists. It’s short notice for those not in Manitoba, and time is limited — but this is a great opportunity!

This year’s event, which combines the Northern Perspectives and Kivalliq Energy Forums, is hosted by the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce and the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce. Each organization will apply for funding for artists for their respective regions through the appropriate parties. The BRCC is responsible to apply for funding for artists from the Qikiqtani region, and the KCC is responsible for applying for funding for artists from the Kivalliq. So if you’re from the Baffin, contact BRCC. If you’re from the Kivalliq, you could also contact the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce.

Each organization will identify and recruit artists from their respective regions as appropriate for the artistic program developed. Both organizations will provide outreach support for the respective regions. The BRCC will provide outreach to Qikiqtani Region members and participants, and the KCCwill provide support to outreach of their members and participants in the Kivalliq region. “

Those artists and culture sector workers who would like to express an interest, or to learn more can contact Shirley Dagg at events@baffinchamber.ca.
