About Our Summer Short Stories Project

This digital storytelling and literacy initiative focused on how stories are created, shaped, and shared in contemporary media environments.

The Summer Short Stories project brings together English short stories and flash fiction alongside experiments in storytelling automation, digital writing tools, and creative production workflows. This project explores how narrative can be supported, extended, and transformed through digital literacy practices—from drafting and editing to structured storytelling systems and emerging creative technologies. Alongside the creative work, it highlights how storytelling evolves when writers engage with digital tools, collaborative platforms, and new forms of authorship.

At its core, the project is about having fun with stories. It’s a space for exploration, experimentation, and play—where ideas can be tested, broken apart, rebuilt, and reshaped without pressure. Stories here are not finished products, but part of an ongoing creative process that values curiosity as much as craft.

For readers and learners interested in short stories to read, digital storytelling, and creative technology, this project connects narrative craft with the tools and systems shaping modern writing practice. But ultimately, we did it entirely for no other reason than to have fun.
