The Joy of Being Unreachable

"Being unreachable is a superpower; it means you are prioritizing your own peace over external noise."

Learn to Disconnect and find peace in not being constantly available.

There is a weird modern anxiety about not replying to a text within thirty seconds. We feel like we have to be 'on' all the time, ready to react to every DM, notification, and email. But here is a secret: being unreachable is a superpower. It means you have boundaries. It means your time is valuable. It means you are prioritizing your own peace over someone else's immediate desire for your attention.

You are not a 24/7 customer service desk. You are a person. When you allow yourself to go offline, you are telling the world—and yourself—that your mental space is sacred. You don't need to be part of every group chat argument. You don't need to see every meme the second it is sent. The world will not stop spinning if you don't check your phone for four hours.

Think about the level of focus you could achieve if you weren't constantly being interrupted by pings. Whether you are working on a creative project, hitting the gym, or just hanging out with friends, you deserve to give that moment 100% of your energy. Multitasking between your life and your phone just means you are doing a mediocre job at both. Lock in and give the task at hand your full respect.

It is okay to leave people on read for a while. It is okay to put your phone on 'Do Not Disturb' just because you feel like it. The people who actually matter will understand that you are taking care of yourself. In fact, they will probably respect you more for it. Boundaries are attractive. They show that you have a life outside of the digital noise.

Try taking a 'digital Sabbath' once a week. Pick a day—Saturday or Sunday—and just be unreachable. Go for a hike, cook a massive meal, or go to the cinema. Feel the weight lift off your shoulders as you realize you don't have to perform for anyone. You are finally free to just be yourself. That is where the real growth happens. Trust the process.
