Each piece invites your imagination to actively fill in the narrative gaps, envisioning what led to these points and what destinies lie ahead.
This project is an experimental program at the intersection of human creativity, interdisciplinary arts, and applied artificial intelligence research. It serves as an exploration of how digital tools can act as a partner in the writing process, shaping new forms of storytelling, scriptwriting, and enhancing digital literacy skills and workflows, all rooted in a deep love for BL stories.
This selection spans genres from the relatable scenarios of Contemporary Campus BL and the high stakes of Trapped/Survival BL, to the gentle charm of Fluffy Romance BL and the glamorous world of Idol/Celebrity BL. Authors Leaf Richards and Jamie F. Bell have contributed to this unique compilation.

They navigate the absurdity of their situation, far from the cameras, as a new, undeniable connection begins to spark.
Storytelling and the Arts, Skills Development and Digital Transformation
AI-Assisted Scriptwriting: Our project explores AI’s capacity to generate realistic social interactions for Contemporary Campus BL and high-stakes tension for Trapped/Survival BL. For Fluffy Romance BL, AI assists in crafting charming and lighthearted scenarios, while in Idol/Celebrity BL, it helps develop the unique dynamics of public image versus private life, including fan interactions and industry pressures. This showcases AI’s ability to navigate both everyday settings and specific industry challenges, aiding significantly in storytelling and scriptwriting across these genres.
Talent Development and Training: The creation of these varied narrative chapters underscores the critical evolution of skills for creative professionals, focusing on enhanced digital literacy and the strategic management of AI tools. This work prepares individuals for the future of digital publishing and film production workflows, where an understanding of how to effectively prompt, curate, and integrate AI-generated content will be fundamental for developing compelling and genre-specific stories with efficiency and innovation.

BL Stories. Unbound
By design, these short BL story chapters have no definitive beginning and no end. Many of the resulting BL stories—exploring intimacy, deep commitment, and the gravity of desire—are fictional, but many others are not. They are evocative story snapshots from worlds that never fully exist, designed to engage you, the reader, and invite you to imagine the profound connection that comes before and what happens next in these boundary-pushing narratives. We had fun exploring this creative research project, and we hope you will enjoy this unique experience in digital literature.
The BL Stories. Unbound collection is an interdisciplinary arts and narrative storytelling experiment. It is part of a creative arts and research program by The Arts Incubator Winnipeg and the Art Borups Corners collectives. This project focuses on two key areas: AI-Assisted Scriptwriting, exploring AI for generating ideas, plot structures, and alternative story arcs; and Talent Development and Training, studying the skills and training needs for creative professionals managing AI and immersive technologies to inform future training curricula.
