WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING

Welcome to our arts incubator program! We’re excited to share some of the materials and resources from our project that can be tailored to suit the needs and interests of other community projects. Our program was experimental, and we wanted to be able to explore some of the digital arts-related areas we were interested. We designed all of our work to be basic, adaptable and flexible, so you can mix and match the resources to create a program that works best for you. Our aim was to provide people who are interested in learning about different forms of the digital arts to be able to experiment and explore with just the basics. We hope these tools will help support you in building your skills, developing your artistic and entrepreneurial aspirations, and achieving your goals.

Supporting arts education

We’re doing our best to ensure everyone who participates will be able to:

  • Experience and develop arts literacy by making, creating, responding, and reflecting through the arts.

  • Engage in meaningful learning experiences that promote self-growth, empowerment, and building a connection to the arts and the world around them.

  • Explore and develop their identity as an artist and as an individual in society through co-creating and collaborating through purposeful arts learning experiences.

Professional development

We hope each of these simple workshop plans will help communities:

  • Provide intentional learning through the four artistic processes: making, creating, responding, and reflecting through the arts.

  • Provide a more diverse, comprehensive, and inclusive range of programming, providing rich learning opportunities for developing meaning and connection to the world around us through the arts.

MODULES WE'RE USING

Each of our modules are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of each individual or community. Originally, we had planned to create a 10-12 week program during the pandemic, but as we continue to expand, we realized that a more modular approach would be more beneficial to our users. We wanted to create resources that could be accessed at any time and in any order, allowing people to pick and choose the modules that best suit their needs and interests. We hope that our modular approach will make our resources more accessible and useful to a wider range of people in the arts and culture sectors.
