This shot… it’s something I see more and more. This old tire, maybe from a snowmobile or a truck, sits here, and in the distance, that horizon isn’t always as solid as it used to be. That sunrise or sunset, as beautiful as it is, feels different now. It’s like the land itself is breathing differently. We travel these routes, our lives connected to them, and we see the melt, the changes happening right in front of us. It makes you think about what our footprint is, how everything is shifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This tire, it’s been places. It’s a part of how we move across this land. But looking out at that vastness, you realize how small we are, and how big these changes are. It’s not just the ice; it’s the animals, the way we hunt, everything feels like it’s on thinner ice.
