Metal capsules shot through iron veins under cobblestones to deliver letters. This physical pipe system dictated who could converse rapidly, shaping the city&#8217;s intellectual salons. Infrastructure, not shared passion, defined the boundaries of Parisian belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, we trade iron tubes for digital recommendation engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Algorithms act as invisible real estate developers.
