We treat self-expression as a specialized job reserved only for those with degrees or natural gifts. Forget talent entirely. When we look at creation as an exclusive club, we lose the simple pleasure of making a mess. This self-imposed barrier keeps people quiet when they should be loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Evidence of this shift exists in the simple act of painting a local alleyway. When a neighborhood opens up a public wall to anyone willing to hold a brush, the rigid rules of formal art disappear.
