Terri Bell’s crafts on display for 2026 Spring Art Show and Community Exhibition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

MELGUND TOWNSHIP, ON<\/strong> \u2014 This spring, the Dyment Recreation Hall comes alive as the 2026 Melgund Township Arts Exhibition opens its doors on April 17, inviting the community to gather, create, and connect through a month-long celebration of the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running until May 17, the exhibition brings together artists from across Northwestern Ontario, showcasing a wide range of work\u2014from traditional crafts and visual arts to film, photography, and interactive digital experiences like virtual reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the featured artists is local crafter Terri Bell, whose work reflects years of creative practice and community involvement. As both an artist and arts administrator, Bell represents the strong foundation of local talent that continues to shape the region\u2019s cultural landscape. Her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition also marks an important milestone as the first major event held in the community\u2019s new arts and heritage space, offering a place for people to gather, share ideas, and explore creativity together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to be part of this year\u2019s spring exhibition,\u201d said Bell. \u201cWe\u2019re really looking forward to seeing the space come to life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can also take part in open mic nights, music jams, guest talks, and community-led discussions exploring topics such as climate change, technology, and the future of nuclear development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
