The Living Land Lab arts collective is teaming up with our neighbours to host the annual Dyment Community Arts and Crafts Sale. We are gathering to highlight the incredible talents of makers\, growers\, and creators from right here across Melgund Township\, Borups Corners\, and Dyment. \n\n\n\nYou can come out to shop\, show off your own handmade goods\, or just catch up with neighbours over the holiday. It is going to be a fun\, relaxed summer market for the whole family. \n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: Wednesday\, July 1st\, 2026 (Canada Day)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTime: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Dyment Recreation Hall and Park\, Melgund Township\, Northwestern Ontario\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNow Calling All Local Vendors\, Artisans\, and Makers\n\n\n\nWe are officially looking for local backyard growers\, traditional crafters\, vintage collectors\, and hobbyists to fill the hall and park. If you make it\, bake it\, grow it\, or dig it up\, we want you to join us. \n\n\n\nWe love supporting our local makers and keeping things accessible\, so there is absolutely no fee for vendor tables. You can choose between an indoor table space or an outdoor tent spot. We are welcoming all kinds of booths: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nHandmade Crafts & Land Art: Textiles\, woodwork\, pottery\, and jewelry.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtisan Goods: Locally made soaps\, candles\, and traditional crafts.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocal Produce & Fresh Eats: Homegrown vegetables\, preserves\, wild honey\, and baked goods.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVintage & Unique Finds: Curated items\, antiques\, and upcycled goods.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to Register & Application Deadline\n\n\n\nThis market is a fantastic way to share your skills\, meet new people\, and celebrate the collective spirit of our region. SUMMARY:Canada Day Festivities at Dyment Hall
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Canada Day in Melgund Township with an afternoon of live music\, local food\, arts and community spirit at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Complex on July 1. \nHosted by the Local Services Board of Melgund Recreation Committee and Melgund Recreation\, Arts and Culture\, the Canada Day Festival will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.\, welcoming residents and visitors from across Northwestern Ontario for a fun-filled day of entertainment and celebration. \nThis year’s event will feature live performances by Gerry and Tanya McArthur and Walter and Friends\, creating a lively soundtrack for an afternoon of community gathering and Canada Day festivities. Visitors can also enjoy popular favourites from the Cook Shack\, including hamburgers\, hot dogs\, fries and refreshments. \nThe festival will include an artists and vendors marketplace showcasing local makers\, creators and small businesses. Tables are still available for artists\, crafters and vendors interested in participating and connecting with festival-goers from across the region. \nWhether you’re looking for live music\, local art\, great food or a family-friendly Canada Day event in Northwestern Ontario\, the Melgund Township Canada Day Festival offers something for everyone. \nThe event takes place July 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Complex in Melgund Township. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
