SUMMARY:Building Our Future: Winter Exhibition Workshop & Planning Session
DESCRIPTION:Most of our gallery experiences have been fleeting—beautiful\, temporary pop-ups that appear and disappear like the snow. This year\, everything changes. We are finally stepping into a permanent home\, and we want you to help us lay the foundation. Join us on Saturday\, February 24\, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dyment Recreation Hall for a hands-on session where we transition from “temporary” to “transformed.” \nThis workshop is all about the art of the “build.” We’ll be diving into the creative logistics of planning and staging an exhibition in our brand-new gallery and heritage space. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how we take a raw room and turn it into a professional art environment. From layout design to the physical setup\, we are shaping the permanent skeleton of a space that will serve our community for years to come. \nThis is your chance to get your hands on the project right from the start. We’ll be beginning the actual assembly of this year’s first winter exhibit\, and we need your energy and ideas to make it happen. No prior experience in art or construction is necessary—just a willingness to learn\, collaborate\, and contribute to a local landmark. We’re also looking for long-term volunteers to help keep this new space thriving\, so come find out how you can get involved. \nLet’s spend the morning building something that lasts. Whether you’re interested in the “heavy lifting” of gallery prep or the finer details of curation\, there is a place for you in this new chapter with Melgund Recreation\, Arts and Culture\, the Local Services Board of Melgund and Art Borups Corners.
