Our mission is to empower Indigenous youth to lead a local food production project that combines traditional knowledge with arts, climate and cultural entrepreneurship.

Our food products will be produced with support from the Manitoba Agriculture Food Development Centre in Portage La Prairie

2025 Food Production and Climate Entrepreneurship Knowledge Sharing Symposium

We’re planning our first Food Production and Climate Entrepreneurship Knowledge Sharing Symposium in Portage La Prairie and Winnipeg this February. 

Indigenous youth in Winnipeg, Manitoba, are planning for a groundbreaking seasonal food production project. Through arts, entrepreneurship, and digital media literacy, they’re planning to craft homemade jams for the upcoming fall and holiday season. From open artificial intelligence tools, and support from the OpenAI Researcher Access Program, youth are exploring Arctic climate entrepreneurship as an emerging field of study. Funding will support Indigenous communities in protecting and expanding their IP interests and foster the development of future IP experts
