This week, members of our project team are exploring some of the many amazing arts and food spaces across Winnipeg. We’ve had an incredible time visiting places and spaces like the Urban Shaman Contemporary Art Gallery, Red River College, Artspace and the Video Pool Media Arts Centre.
“Exploring the vibrant arts and food scenes in Winnipeg is not just enjoyable but also a powerful way to foster social connectedness and community inclusion,” said Jamie Bell, one of the founding artists and community based researchers behind Art Borups Corners. “Food is about belonging, and by getting off our screens and into these amazing places and spaces, we build stronger, healthier, and more engaged communities.”
All that exploring builds up an appetite! So to cap off our awesome adventures in the Exchange District, we capped off our tour with a visit to Smoke’s Poutinerie for a taste of Winnipeg’s best poutine!
