Join us August 16, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. for an engaging session on designing our collaborative journeys. Our goal is to further build and maintain our international relationships with Minnesota and Manitoba youth, Art Borups Corners, Global Dignity Winnipeg and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). 

Details:
Building on the incredible success of the 2024 Arctic Congress in Bodø, Norway, we’re excited to continue the conversations. This next semester’s activities are supported by the OpenAI Researcher Access Program, offering fantastic opportunities to showcase your work and come together as a community of practice: design a zine, lead a workshop, host a mini hackathon, plan an art exhibition, conduct data scraping, or explore other creative avenues. Let’s support each other’s capacity and talents as we contribute to this growing international arts and community-based research collective.

Students take to the world stage: Canadian and American collaborators came together in Norway for the program’s first international conference session at the 2024 Arctic Congress. This unparalleled platform for knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and innovative discourse brought together Manitoba, Minnesota, British Columbia, Alaska alongside projects from across the circumpolar Arctic. Jamie Bell is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in journalism, public affairs, participatory media arts, and community engagement within the arts, government, research and non-profit sectors. His expertise includes strategic communications, arts project management, and community engagement. He is a founding member of Art Borups Corners and its Winnipeg-based Arts Incubator program (2019-2025) and the Arviat Film Society (2010-2021). His projects have been funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Manitoba Arts Council and the OpenAI Researcher Access Program.
