We’re thrilled to unveil one of our flagship projects for this year—an innovative short course that brings together art, data, and technology in bold and transformative ways. “Arts, Data, and Immersive Storytelling” is a hands-on program that pushes the boundaries of how we interpret and communicate complex data through artistic expression and cutting-edge tools like OpenAI’s APIs and Three.js.
This project builds on a foundation first piloted in 2021-2022 with strategic arts innovation funding from the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Greenhouse. During that time, we explored the potential of digital tools in climate storytelling and creative expression. We’re incredibly thankful for their support, which made the initial exploration possible, and we’re excited to bring this learning opportunity back—this time, with even greater detail, depth, and impact!
This updated mini course is designed for creators, coders, and changemakers who are ready to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, 3D visualization, and storytelling. Participants will learn how to process and visualize data, harness AI for narrative-driven projects, and build immersive, interactive experiences—entirely through custom coding and open-source platforms.
Imagine turning climate data into an interactive 3D experience or weaving a story of cultural resilience using AI-generated insights and visualizations. This program isn’t just about acquiring technical skills—it’s about transforming raw data into art that inspires, educates, and empowers.
Stay tuned for more details on how you can join us in this creative journey and help shape the future of arts and data-driven storytelling. Let’s redefine what’s possible when art meets technology!
